Why I am a Champion for this Cause
My name is Lazarus Lynch and I am passionate about the New York Youth Institute, because it gave me an opportunity to be an active member of group dedicated to identifying and solving hunger problems. As a result, I spent an entire summer researching was to end hunger at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Beijing, China. I am launching the Hunger Fighters Campaign to raise money and spread awareness. Will you join my Campaign and Champion the fight against hunger? Here’s how you can help. Go to our website and donate as little as $5 to help us reach our goal of $8,000 by July 30thwww.nyyi.peaksmaker.com
What is the NY Youth Institute?
The second Saturday of September every year, Cornell University hosts the New York Youth Institute for all High School students in New York State to attend. Students write an essay and interact with Cornell faculty, researchers, and World Food Prize laureates to discuss and share their ideas on solving world hunger. It is important to support the New York Youth Institute to keep educating the youth of today about the problems of the world and how we can solve them. The opportunities created by the NYYI are invaluable, recent attendees of the World Food Prize include, but are not limited to, Tony Blair, the President of Iceland, the secretary general of the UN, and countless US senators and representatives. Additional opportunities include internships internationally and domestically that can be provided to students involved. Not only is the knowledge and experience gained valuable for the students, but for the whole world at large. We are aiming to raise $8,000 and you can help us by donating anything from even just $5 and sharing out mission with your friends and family.
Thank you for your support!
